Flash Renamer User Manual Help:
Have you ever wanted to change the names of a bunch of files at once? Rather than laboriously renaming them one by one, it would be nice if you could change all the file names in large batches.
A situation where you really might need batch renaming is if you’re processing a lot of pictures and you want them to have more descriptive names. Batch Rename Files In Folders
If you have a Windows computer, then you can do batch renaming very quickly in File Explorer!
- Open the folder with the files you want to rename.
- Select all the files that you want to rename with the same naming scheme. If you’re selecting all the files in the open folder, you can hit Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select them. If you’re selecting a range, click on the first file, hold down Shift on your keyboard, and then select the last file (so you’re selecting everything in between as well).
- Right-click on the selected files and choose Rename from the menu.
- Type in the name you want – without any numbers. File Explorer will automatically insert numbers like (1), (2), (3), after each file name.
- After typing the name, hit Enter on your keyboard. All the select file names should change:
